The purpose of Navigate
Through Navigate we will walk through the biblical study of the spiritual gifts named in scripture within a framework given to us by Paul himself in Romans, Ephesians and 1 Corinthians. Then we walk through definitions, characteristics and instructions for each of the charisma gifts, helping each person on your team get clarity on what they are, and what they’re not. Then we get real-time feedback on your team’s dynamics to help them see where there is (and isn’t) spiritual fruit in their service to God. We also walk through what it looks like for each gift to operate in the flesh, and provide warnings and cautions for each gift, as well as specific encouragement on how the gifts are best used.
The primary purpose for Navigate is for you and your team to gain clarity on what spiritual gifts are, what they’re not, and what gift you have. We want you to get a clearer picture of God’s unique design for your life. By the end of the material, you will be able to:
- Narrow down the gift you have
- Recognize specific qualities you possess that differ from others
- Decipher between God-given good attributes of your spiritual gift, and the “flesh” side of your gift
- Name specific strengths you have
- Gain instruction on how to best utilize the gift you have
It takes the “gifts” from either being on the shelf and unused, or super-spiritual and confusing to be an understandable, empowering clarifier for each believer’s journey. I don’t know of a team that exists that can’t benefit from understanding their specific make up in tangible ways. The framework comes from the bible but applies into each person’s story and make up. In many ways it’s like turning on the lightbulb in a room you’ve been in for a long time. You’ve already been given gifts, and even using them in good ways, but with clarity you can use them more intentionally and consistently. It may be a benefit in understanding your own leadership and influences or putting words to team dynamics to lean into or avoid. Either way, I’d be thrilled to see if any of it would be of help to you.
Does your community need gift clarity?
If every believer has at least one of the gifts given from God’s Spirit, then we should know what they are. We can. You can. We should also know what they’re not. As you start to examine your life, the gift that you have is where the consistent content will be. Used for good or bad, you have a gift from God. It’s always a joy for us to start to look for the “content” that comes out of you from your gift, and help you see yourself in light of your gift. How you already think and how you feel derive from the Spiritual gift God has already given you. I suggest you lean into your gift, utilizing as much as you can, every day.
What if you got this right? What if you found the clarity on your giftedness, what you are and what you’re not. You could enter into rest from God in a whole new way, into freedom. Less of the struggle to be something or someone you’re not. There’s a sense of peace when you’re ok with how God’s made you! Can you imagine? We would be a unified Church with all our members working together in Kingdom work, operating as we should. At our best in both relationships and responsibilities. God has plans for your life, but what if there is even greater clarity on what those plans are – based on your giftedness?
This has been a journey for us, and I must warn you – it will be a journey for you too. Letting go of what we’re not gifted in, and fully stepping into the areas we are gifted in is no small task. It is however, worth every effort.
There are different parts – that’s part of the plan. 1 Corinthians 12:29-30 says “All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they? All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?”
So back to my question – what part of the body are you?
